Iraq war inquiry chairman has said he doesn’t need additional resources but is aware of time taken on process begun in 2009,civil service chief says
The chairman of the inquiry into the Iraq war has repeatedly refused offers of additional help to speed up the completion of his long-awaited report, the head of the civil service has revealed.
Sir John Chilcot told the prime minister final month that he still could not say when the inquiry would report, or prompting David Cameron to say he was “fast losing patience” over the lack of progress.
