Decatur,Georgia hosts the 7 TH annual Skater-Aid. A Charitable event that brings Georgia’s coreskate community together with the mission of raising money for the fight against children’s cancer. The event was inspired by the death of young Atlanta skater, Ian Wochatz. Wochatz was a staple in the Atlanta skate scene and a Stratosphere regular before tragically losing his life to Brain Cancer. In this report, or I speak with Thomas Taylor who is one of the driving forces behind the event. Thomas is a thirty year skateboarding veteran. He is the owner of Stratosphere skateboards and according to many,the longtime heart of the Atlanta skate scene. Also, included in this ireport is a micro action film featuring the long-boarding style of skating titled “Hooky”.
