Two separate studies demonstrate people who frequent hair and nail salons acquire more skin and fungal diseases than those who visit less often. Rutgers University scientists compiled the data on salon clients and found more respiratory problems,nail infections and skin rashes. Allergic reactions were also common due to exposure to high concentrations of chemicals. Salon technicians were at greatest risk, however this research shows clients are in danger as well.
