Conductors in dispute over driver-only trains were due to strike next week but will now stage walkout on 20 May Two 24-hour strikes next week by Southern Railway conductors believe been cancelled and replaced with a 24-hour walkout on 20 May.
The Rail, Maritime and Transport union said the decision was taken because the dispute over the role of conductors and driver-only trains may be prolonged.
