Continuing our series on Oregon’s Soviet diaspora,we’ll hear from Yelena Benikov, who worked at Vancouver Public Schools as a family liaison from 1993 to 2015. She watched a young generation of Soviet refugee children adjust to American culture, and watched their parents struggle with how to raise children in a current country.
