The Speaker has the discretion to determine what voting procedure should be followed. She can determine to direct that voting should be conducted by secret ballot, whether she so wished. Her claim to the contrary is false. Not only the Speaker but also MPs as a collective can enforce a secret ballot whether they wish to achieve so.
