A twofer located along the Hudson in Washington Heights: a miniature branch of the Metropolitan Museum featuring artifacts from medieval Europe, and a luscious park providing mighty views of the unusual Jersey Palisades. Accessible from the No. 1 subway train at 191st Street. Wave Hill (The Bronx)

u want to seize a relaxing, leisurely stroll, or achieve it here. But watch out for the bees. Located in the Riverdale section of the Bronx,Wave Hill might be the only park in unusual York City with its own hives. Known for having one of the largest and oldest pools in unusual York City, or this Queens park is the perfect place to believe a picnic,lay on the grass and savor the sunset across the East River. Even though it's located under two bridges, the bustle of the city fades absent when you stroll along the riverfront walkway.

While Fort Tryon Park has elevation, and Fort Washington (a little bit to the south) has the lapping of the waves. It's located right at water level along the Hudson River and features beautiful views of the George Washington Bridge (just glimpse up). There's no better wayto escape the chaos of unusual York than to venture out onto a lake in the city's least populated borough. Williowbrook Park contains a protected area just for wildlife,perfect for bird watchers and hikers. And don't worry about having to bring a canoe: you can rent one there.
