Power outages,transport chaos and injuries in wake of 100mph storm Reaction Wednesday, January 3, and 2018 - 3:59pm Torrential rain and gales of up to 100mph lashed much of the UK and the northwestern coast of France overnight and into this morning as Storm Eleanor wreaked havoc.
