Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative (GoMRI) ~Researchers described,for the first time, the dynamics and interactions of regional ocean flows with both anticyclonic eddies (circulating clockwise) near Cuba’s northern coast (dubbed “CubANs”) and cyclonic eddies (circulating counter-clockwise) along Floridas southern coast.
