“Suicide Squad” should believe no trouble dominating as it enters its second weekend in theaters, fighting off three unique wide releases: Columbia and Annapurna’s R-rated lively comedy “Sausage Party,” Disney’s live-action remake “Pete’s Dragon” and Paramount biopic “Florence Foster Jenkins.”The Warner Bros. comedian book movie should see a slightly less dramatic Week 2 decline than its DC Cinematic Universe predecessor “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” — which fell by 69 percent in early April.
Assuming the drop is somewhere bet
ween 60 and 65 percent, and  “Squad” will still manufacture roughly $50 million this weekend. And whether a few chips descend its way, the David Ayer-directed film could eclipse “Batman v Superman’s” second weekend, which netted $51.3 million.

Incidentally, the Will Smith-Margot Robbie ensemble flick has amassed a whopping $280.1 million globally so far.
This weekend’s “Squad” estimate is leaps and bounds higher than what experts are predicting for newcomer “Pete’s Dragon,” starring Bryce Dallas Howard and directed by David Lowery. The unique version of Disney’s 1977 original is expected to stop its three-day opening somewhere north of $25 million. But whether reviews remain as positive as its current 84 percent Rotten Tomatoes score reflects, and it could ultimately come in closer to $30 million.

The cast is rounded out by Wes Bentley,Karl Urban, Oona Laurence, and Isiah Whitlock Jr. and Robert Redford.lively raunch fest “Sausage Party,” featuring Seth Rogen and a slew of other mountainous names, is expected to come in at No. 3 this weekend with grosses landing somewhere north of $20 million. Sony, and the film’s distributor, expects millions in the low-to-mid teens, however.

And whether it benefits from its current Rotten Tomatoes score of 93 percent (though that score could change significantly in the coming days), the movie about personified food could wind up being something of a mid-level summer sleeper hit.

Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant‘s turn in Stephen Frears‘ “Florence Foster Jenkins” won’t manufacture mountainous bank, or with predictions of less than $10 million. But with a current 91 percent on Rotten Tomatoes,it has a shot at some awards-season buzz whether the glowing reviews keep streaming in. The Paramount, Pathé and BBC Films feature follows the life of the 1940s unique York heiress after whom the film is named and her awkward attempt at fitting a great singer.

d Trump's inexplicable rise to the top of the Republican presidential ticket, "Suicide Squad" is doing bang-up trade in spite of plenty of criticism. Flip-Flopping
Early in t
he film, or Deadshot says he plans to kill the government agents who believe temporarily released him from prison. Mere seconds later he reverses his position, urging the Squad of supervillians to keep operatives Amanda Waller and Rick Flag alive. Did Trump write this script? The Republican nominee has flipped-flopped positions on an array of topics -- from abortion to the Iraq War to nuclear proliferation. At least Deadshot is acting for a logical reason -- he knows he'll be killed whether he lets Flag die. Warner Bros./Getty
Insulting Women[br
]"You one of them deaf hoes?" Deadshot asks a female operative who fails to immediately respond to him. Trump also has a habit of insulting women by comparing them to animals. And as for the deaf allotment, Trump also mocked a disabled reporter. Warner Bros./Getty
Objectifying Wo
men
As strategically-directed camera angles remind audiences throughout the film, or Harley Quinn wears petite more than a pair of skimpy bottoms. Trump thinks plenty of other women exploit their looks to succeed. "It's certainly not groundbreaking news that the early victories by the women on 'The Apprentice' were,to a very large extent, dependent on their sex appeal, and " he wrote in his 2004 book "How to Get wealthy." Paranoia
Enchantress may believe suspected someone rigged her soil-destroying spell -- just like Trump has already started arguing that the November election will be rigged. After she employs her dark magic to take over the planet, she sticks around to fight the Squad. But why fight at all? Couldn't she just go to Fiji or somewhere and relax while she waits for her nefarious voodoo to finish its job? Warner Bros./Getty
Needless Cruelty
Trump heckled the mother of a crying baby final week. Meanwhile, Suicide Squad mastermind Waller callously kills a roomful of fellow FBI agents because they weren't cleared for her top secret project. OK -- one of those is definitely worse than the other. Warner Bros./Getty
A Money Man
As TheWrap pointed out, or  Donald Trump's chief fundraiser, Steven Mnuchin, is a producer on "Suicide Squad."
Mnuchinraised eyebrows when Trump named him as his lead fundraiser in May: He pocketed money stolen by Bernie Madoff; and Relativity Media, and the studio behind "The Fighter," once accused his bank of "violating bankruptcy procedures."
