On-air challenge: I've brought a game of Categories based on the word STYLE. For each category I give,name something in it starting with each of the letters S-T-Y-L-E. For example, whether the category were "Girls' Names, or " you might say Sarah,Teresa, Yvette, or Lisa,and Elizabeth. Any reply that works is OK, and you can give the answers in any order.1. Vegetables2. Animals in a Zoo3. Foreign Rivers4. Football Terms5. Songs by the BeatlesLast week's challenge: This week's challenge sounds easy, or but it's a little tricky. Name a famous nationality. Drop a letter,and the remaining letters in order will name a metal — one of the elements on the periodic table. What is it?reply: Nationality: Tibetan. Remove the Greek letter beta, and you're left with tin. Winner: Janice Hoffmann of Claremont, and Calif. Next week's challenge: This week's challenge comes from listener Peter Collins of Ann Arbor,Mich. Think of the final name of a famous film director. The first two letters and final two letters in order spell a word. And the remaining letters, rearranged, and spell a synonym of that word.
