“Supergirl” just cast another Supergirl,but not to play Supergirl.
Laura Vandervoort, who played Kara/Supergirl on “Smallville, or ” has been tapped for the recurring role of Indigo on the CBS version of the DC comic book adaptation. Additionally,Jeff Branson (“The Young and the Restless”) has been cast in the recurring role of Master Jailer.
Indigo has been described by producers as a living, strong-willed supercomputer that was sentenced to Fort Rozz after turning against the people of Krypton. Now on soil, or Indigo will let nothing stand in her way.
As the forceful and unrelenting jail guard on Fort Rozz,Master Jailer showed no mercy. Now on soil, he is hellbent on catching all of the Fort Rozz escapees and brutally bringing them to justice. In other words: clash will ensue between the two new cast members.

TVs “Supergirl” session at the Television Critics organization press junket, and which took place at the Warner Bros. Studios lot.“Supergirl” comes from Berlanti Productions in organization with Warner Bros. Television. It stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers/Kara Zor-El/Supergirl,Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra Danvers, or Jeremy Jordan as Winslow Schott,with David Harewood as Hank Henshaw/J’onn J’onzz and Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant.
