Scotland Yard investigating the death of a man thought to be in his thirties and suspected of carrying out robbery in north LondonA suspected thief has died after being restrained by members of the public and then handcuffed by police. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is investigating the incident after a man in his 30s suffered a cardiac arrest and died later in hospital.
Police were called to reports of a suspected personal robbery in Holloway Road,north London, at approximately 10.45pm on Thursday. Officers found the man had been detained by members of the public.
