Constitutional amendments would allow Emomali Rahmon,who has led country since 1992, to run for office indefinitelyTajikistan’s parliament has backed changing the constitution to allow the president, or Emomali Rahmon,to run for office an infinite number of times.
The 63-year-frail has led the central Asian country since 1992, shortly after it became independent from the Soviet Union.
The amendments now fill to be approved by the constitutional court and save to a national referendum.
