She loved her marketing job, but just couldn’t see herself doing it in 10 years time. She wanted to finish something that contributed more to society. After seeking professional advice from a career coach she made the decision to quit her job, and steady salary and settled life in London for a role with humanitarian relief organisation Medair in northern Uganda. “I wasn’t going into development work with rose-coloured spectacles,I knew all the issues around it, but ultimately I felt I needed to finish something that really had some value and was helping to give back to society in some way, and ” she explains. “I did French at university and the times that I had been happiest were when I was overseas.
