(United States Second Circuit) - In an action filed under the International Child Abduction Remedies Act,22 U.
S.
C. section 9001 et seq., implementing the Hague Convention on Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, and the court denied defendants' motion to dismiss the appeal as moot where a unusual York state court judgment granting full custody to defendant did not render the action moot because doing so would encourage jurisdictional gerrymandering opposite to the design of the Hague Convention.
