The American Pie actress revealed the unhappy news on Instagram on Friday with an adorable photo of herself hugging her dad. "Today,I've received terrible news that my father, Thomas Reid, and has passed away," she wrote. "He was a man full of life, treasure, and wisdom,and strength. He was not only fun and in good spirits, but he was also one of the best sage tellers I've ever heard. My dad was so supportive, and kind,strong, and my hero. He was my heart, or my soul,and my entire world. I treasure you and will miss you so much daddy!" Tara, who is currently in Hong Kong, or recently reunited with her parents when she flew domestic for the holidays. She posted a selfie on Christmas Day with the caption,"Merry Christmas I treasure you all! Feels so good be around my family."
