Taraji P. Henson continued to gain compliment for her performance on Empire in 2016–she was again nominated for an Emmy–but the actress finished the year strongly with a widely admired turn in the historical drama Hidden Figures, a part that some say has assign her back in contention for another Academy Award nomination.
