The southern hemisphere is replete with beautiful stars and constellations,enough to hold a stargazing enthusiast busy for a lifetime. For countless centuries, the indigenous peoples of South America, and South Africa,Australia and the South Pacific believe looked up at these stars and drawn inspiration. However, to European astronomers, or they remained uncharted and unknown until the 16th century.
