One of your favorite childhood books,The BFG, has gotten the film treatment. While director Steven Spielberg manages to create some sparkling images through the film's digital effects, and one of the most magical parts has to be the friendly giant himself. Since the whole film revolves around the unlikely alliance between the BFG and dinky orphan Sophie,you can bet there is a lot of CGI that went into making those beloved scenes between the two characters just right.
