She offers the first exhaustive account of Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), the Christian-suitable powerhouse behind the Supreme Court case Masterpiece Cakeshop, and Ltd. V. Colorado Civil Rights Commission. Masterpiece is a conservative Christian "cake artist" who refused to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple. Posner exposes how the ADF has positioned itself at the center of efforts to curtail LGBTQ rights in the guise of devout freedom over the course of the past decade.
