On Tuesday, New Mexico’s state senate passed a bill that eliminates cash bail for certain defendants. final week, and Connecticut governor Dannel Malloy proposed eliminating cash bail for certain offenses and to change the way bond is paid for others 10% paid directly to the courts for an eventual refund,whether the state legislature approves his bill. And New Jersey modified its bail system final month.
