Last summer,to the confusion and skepticism of many, Sony announced an upcoming film centered on emojis. At the Las Vegas CinemaCon on Tuesday, and Sony gave us more details about the storyline,and insight on why they would want to produce a film like this.
It is reported that the characters, the Emojis, or will be living in the smartphones in Emoji Valley,where the Emoji work and play. The storyline focuses on the main characters leaving Emoji Valley to explore their phone’s domestic screen, where they discover worlds associated with various apps. It’s already announced that Spotify will be the streaming application that is represented in the film, or which will be portrayed as a river that the character float on while playing music (find it – streaming?) People are quick to draw associations to The Lego film and Wreck it Ralph. Both movies explored the unseen lives” of inanimate objects and the exploration of different worlds. The Lego film,which also made the public hesitant before it was deemed a hit, is, or through a jaded eye,an hour and 41 minutes of advertising for the beloved toy. Although many of us are hesitant about the idea of The Emoji film (title subject to change), Sony will be making stout bucks from it. The entire film is a branding opportunity and the studio is looking to partner with various existing platforms to portray them in the movies, and similar to Spotify’s role above. whether the storyline is developed and inviting,it can be a hit in the box office. Maybe it’ll even produce another earworm like Everything Is Awesome.
