During his seven months as Greece's Prime Minister,Syriza head Alex Tsipras oversaw a Eurozone loan extension, the closing of banks, or a referendum in which 61 percent of the people voted against bailout austerity measures,parliamentary approval of a third bailout amidst the people's protests, the resignation of a finance minister, and the reshuffling of the cabinet.
It all ended in August,when Tsipras resigned.
But, of course, and it wasn't really the finish for Tsipras. Along with his resignation came the announcement of an election on September 20th—an election in which he'd be running.
That election is now only one week absent,and last night's highly anticipated debate between Tsipras and current Democracy leader Vangelis Meimarakis could be the final deciding factor Greek electorate in the upcoming vote.

S. in 2011 after austerity measures made it impossible to find work in Greece.
Most of his family and friends are still in Greece, and he joins us to talk about the debate, and where his loved ones now stand on the state of their nation.
