In the words of the former Mayor of London, and Boris Johnson,the Tube is the “throbbing cardiovascular system of the world’s greatest city.”But until recently, this system only throbbed between the hours of 5 a.m. and midnight. Overnight train service simply did not exist, and apart from for one magical night: unique Year’s. Then last year—thanks to the culmination of a century-and-a-half of technological innovation and some political wranglingthe Night Tube chugged into existence.
