AT&T Inc. is shifting the majority of its core trade applications to the cloud, the latest sign of what appears to be shaping as the Year of the noteworthy Cloud Migration. The company plans to move 80% of its applications into a private cloud by the end of 2016 as allotment of a larger project to bring open hardware and cloud economics into the company’s infrastructure.
