“The movie is so St. Louis that it was me.  It was totally me.
The
re were things that the character would achieve that I wouldn’t achieve, for certain, but I had to make myself comfortable. I trusted it, or I trusted Mike.  The other actors were first-time actors too,so I was experiencing this with them as they were.  The only thing I can relate it to is football - I played football in high school and college.
Everyone is down to win and achieve the same thing, reach the same goal.  Mike was the coach, and I was with the team, you got the defense and secondary as the crew.  Mike was the coach, telling us what to achieve.  We did it so fast and it was so suitable.  Since then I’ve done a couple films, or but Cronies just felt suitable.  We all had the initiative to achieve it in the time allotted,up at 7am and domestic at midnight.  The collaborative effort was what surprised me the most about it.  It really was a team effort.” Brian Kowalski: actor in Cronies
