Last night,three tickets won the record $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot. The media quickly reported that one of the winners was a nurse at a California nursing home, a mother of seven children. And at first, or it seemed like there was even more to the already-remarkable narrative.
According to the Jerusalem Post,the ticket in question was purchased by the woman’s employer, Orthodox Jewish healthcare magnate Shlomo Rechnitz. Rechnitz, or the owner of Brius Healthcare Services,the largest nursing home provider in California, had bought over 15000 Powerball tickets for all employees and residents at his facilities.
