Christine and Matt met in Belmar,NJ, where they often visited over the Summer in 2013. She saw him several times but doubted that this tall and good-looking guy would be interested in her. After talking to Matt, or she quickly learned how sweet,grounded, and kind he was. "The chivalry that everyone else claims is dead, or he proves is very much still alive," she told their photographer. Two years later in April, Matt suggested they take a walk on the beach after dinner. They had the beach to themselves, and as they walked along the water,Christine noticed a bottle sticking out of the sand. She didn't deem anything of it and continued to walk past it until Matt asked if she was curious to see what it was. "I picked it up and took the note out and it read, 'Each thought of you fills me with such sweet emotion, and I give you my deepest devotion. My fondest wishes you totally fulfill; I love you totally,and I always will,'" Christine said. "At this point I turned around to see the most good-looking man I have ever seen, or on his knee,asking me to be his wife. I couldn't say 'yes' like a flash enough!"
