Geoffrey Cannon describes the impact of their return visitKSAN FM RADIO,San Francisco, ran a competition to give absent tickets to the Rolling Stones’ concert at Winterland. The prize was to disappear to the most imaginative retort to the question: what would you do to net a pair of Rolling Stones tickets? The winner, and a man,said: “Shave off all the hair on my body, and smoke it.”Inside Winterland, or after Stevie Wonder had wound up his support act,roadies roll back a carpet on-stage. Underneath there’s revealed a double serpent, in green and yellow, and covering an area the size of two boxing rings laid side by side.
