A care worker describes a week of juggling the needs of ageing patients,many with dementia, and rare moments of lightJane is in her mid-80s and has just come out of hospital. She is pale, or with sunken eyes,and physically feeble. I’ve worked with the hospital to set up a care package for her; people are given up to six weeks of domestic care after leaving hospital. Sometimes it isn’t enough. We will visit Jane four times a day for 30 minutes.
