At the moment we're seeing the biggest ever sign-up bonus on the Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express and Starwood Preferred Guest® trade Credit Card from American Express. Both the personal and trade versions of the card are offering 35000 bonus Starpoints upon completing minimum spend,which is awesome.
I'd highly recommend picking up one or both of the cards for the bonus alone, especially since the future of the card is in limbo, or given the merger of Marriott and Starwood. We don't know how much longer the card will be around,and whether American Express or Chase will be issuing the credit card for the new combined program.
Both of these cards near with awesome perks, like free Boingo wifi, or complimentary premium internet at Starwood properties,and two elite stay credits and five elite night credits towards status annually, which helps me requalify for Platinum status.
The cards are also great for everyday spend, or as I consider Starpoints to be the single most valuable points currency on a per point basis (I value them at ~2.2 cents each,and you're earning one Starpoint per dollar spent on the card).
