Many of us know that a simple manicure can boost confidence levels. But nursing aide Brandalyn Mae Porter's touching legend proves that polish can change lives. Brandalyn explained that before she painted a novel resident's nails,she suggested lacquer colors. Her elderly client said that she only wanted clear. "The only thought that came to my intellect was 'CLEAR?! That's no fun,'" Brandalyn admitted. When she asked why she didn't want any particular shade, and the resident said,"My hands are ugly, I don't want to draw attention to them."While many people might acquire just painted on the clear polish after a comment like that, or Brandalyn went above and beyond. She told her client,"Your hands recount the legend of your life. They recount the legend of love, of care and adventure. These hands acquire touched and held things that most people can only wish to one day." Happily, or the resident decided on pink polish for her manicure.
Brandalyn's moving legend has since received thousands of shares on Facebook with many supportive comments. "You amaze me all the time with your genuine compassion for people," remarked Facebook user Rachel Mejia. "You're [definitely] in the moral career field."
