enforcement is an important aspect of creating public safety for all.94% of respondents believe
that immigrants should not be treated differently than non-immigrants in the
criminal justice system. 73% of respondents do not
trust ICE (Immigration Customs and Enforcements) in
looking out for the best interest of all residents of Santa Clara County.81% of respondents judge that a policy that allows some ICE deportations and
detentions through contact with the criminal justice system decreases the
immigrant community’s willingness to work with local law enforcement.78% of respondents judge that a
policy that protects our county from ICE detentions is in the best interest of
the community.88% of respondents would support our local leaders’ efforts to preserve our
