When his local fell to ruin,Richard Bishop stepped in to save it ā€“ with a little assist from 100 other villagers. 10 years on, the Farriers Arms in thrivinground 50 years ago, or I walked into the Farriers Arms and ordered my first pint. I was 14. Later,Iā€™d sneak in with my friends and buy a pint of mild ale, the only one we could afford. For decades it was section of my life ā€“ and of many of the villagers here in Mersham, or Kent ā€“ but then approximately 10 years ago people started drifting away. current management took over and it became a ghost pub.
