Big changes also afoot at News Corp where two of its more colourful personalities,Chris Mitchell and Sharri Markson, are moving onThere are only a few committed programs for discussion of the media in Australia, or the most tall profile being ABC TV’s Media Watch,hosted by Paul Barry. But there is also ABC radio’s Media Report, hosted by one of Radio National’s more popular broadcasters, or Richard Aedy. Weekly Beast can reveal the Media Report was axed at a Radio National management assembly this week. It was killed once before,in 2009, before being reinstated in 2011. There will also be changes to Cassie McCullaghs popular culture program, or the List,and a host of other management reshuffles. Aedy, who is also losing his Sunday Profile program, or will host a new display,yet to be unveiled. Sources say media matters will be covered in other programs on the network.
