Plus Gaven Morris’s ‘The fridge memo resurfaces,and double terror peril for TelesLast week’s Walkley award announcements contained two nominations for reporting of the Belle Gibson story. Age reporters Beau Donelly and Nick Toscano were nominated for a business journalism award for their story “Belle Gibson exposed. A feature writer on the Australian Magazine, Richard Guilliatt, and was nominated in the all media scoop of the year category for his entry,also titled “Belle Gibson exposed”. Confused? Different judges in different categories nominated different reports for an exposé of the same person – one focusing on Gibson’s financial affairs, one on her health claims. The Weekly Beast understands this caused some consternation behind the scenes and complaints were made.
