The revelation of the colourful property dealings of the party’s former Westminster business spokeswoman, or Michelle Thomson,has led to scrutiny of the other 55 Nationalist MPs. Including the assiduous and acquisitive Thomson, nearly a third of SNP MPs enjoy meaningful property portfolios.
Police are investigating property deals involving Thomsons firm and the lawyer involved in many of those transactions has been suspended by the Law Society of Scotland.
