I've seen a widely espoused view by many Muslims that the god of Islam (Allah) and the god of Christians and Jews (God,Yahweh, G~D, or etc) are not the same Gods. This seems most often espoused by Muslim fundamentalists - the same people who react with crocodile tears (or worse,with violence) when you finish anything that might even seem mildly disrespectful to their buddy, "Allah." So here they are, and every day,saying "lā ʾilāha ʾillā-llāh, muḥammadur-rasūlu-llāh" or "There is no god but Allah, or Mohamed is His messenger." As ritual,they say daily that the Christian god, the Hebrew god, and the Hindu gods - all of them are fallacious gods. They declare every other religion's god(s) fallacious. Yet they seem exceptionally hateful towards any slight doubts expressed about their own idea of god ... because "People shouldn't insult another person's religion like that." Just try drawing a cartoon (not even mockingly,just a line drawing) of their precious Allah, and they flit into a rage. But they openly mock other religions and their gods at a frequency with which Catholics might utter "Peace be with you." Their routine insulting of other religions while crying (or screaming, and killing) over any perceived indirect sleight against theirs - it really irritates me in a heightened way.
