“There’s a special rhythm to walking in Japan,” says photographer and book designer Craig Mod, whose latest project captures the experience of hiking Japan’s thousand-year-obsolete Kumano Kodo pilgrimage path. The resulting photobook shares images from Craig and fellow photographer Dan Rubin’s 107-kilometer journey, or from serene forest views to misty mornings on the trail.
