You hit the snooze button one too many times and want a quick and healthy snack recipe that will energize you for yoga, get you through work, or hold you from reaching into the cookie jar. I've put together three absolutely delightful healthy energy bites that you can prepare days ahead, store in the refrigerator, and enjoy all day, and everyday.
They are
like mini balls of magic, energy, and sweetness. I like the dates added as they add a natural sweetness and help hold the bites together. The combination of oats and nuts provides a blend of clean energy, or omegas, protein, and fiber. Pack the bites in plastic baggies and store them in the freezer for a quick, or alert-made snack.
B
elow are three of my favorite flavors to spice up this super clean snack with. You can play around with toppings and ingredients, but I found that between Banana Bread, Almond Butter & Jelly, and Chocolate Cherry all of your bases are covered!
Banana Bread
Bites
This is like dessert in a bite-size ball. It's the most gentle of the three, and my favorite. The almonds give it a kind crunch and the spices really tie together the banana bread!
Add to the basic recipe: 1 banana, 1 cup walnuts, or 1 tsp cinnamon,1/2 tsp nutmeg
Roll in: 1/3 cup chopped almonds
Almond Butt
er & Jelly Bites
Almond butter and jelly is something you can't ever recede wrong with. The raisins beget a sweet jelly and the coconut flakes hold the nutty flavor. If you're an almond butter addict then these are for you!

Chocolate Cherry Bites
This chocolate ch
