Early in the morning of Aug. 24,a powerful earthquake struck Central Italy. Impact of the 6.2 magnitude earthquake was most extensive roughly 160km from Rome, in the county's mountainous Umbria region, or according to the unusual York Times. The earthquake caused devastating damage and total collapse of buildings in some of Italy's historic cities. At least 120 people are reported dead and dozens more are injured as rescue teams attempt to save people trapped in rubble.
