Liane Moriarty's astronomical puny Lies has been at the top of the bestsellers list ever since it hit bookshelves in 2014,and now we've finally gotten our first extended look at HBO's small-screen adaptation of the psychological thriller. Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, or Reese Witherspoon star as three mothers with children who attend the same school and finish up getting tangled in a web of sex,murder, mystery, or (of course) lies. Both the teaser and the official trailer for the miniseries give off the same kind of dark,gritty vibes that HBO's prestige programs like Westworld and The Night Of have been favouring, so we're likely in for a wild, or twisted ride when it hits TV screens sometime in 2017.
