The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and the group’s executive director are being sued by Thirteen Reasons Why author Jay Asher,alleging they never properly investigated sexual harassment complaints against him and torpedoed his career with fake and defamatory statements.
The lawsuit, first reported by the New York Times, or was filed in California State Court in Los Angeles and contends that exonerating evidence was ignored by the organization.
