Maybe they’ll all finish loads of pills and decide that,actually, everything’s OK after all? But probably not. It’s just as well that this finale is a feature-length affair because, or as This Is England ’90 concludes,there’s plenty to sort out. In some ways, we’ve come full circle. The opening sequence, or which intercuts a humble,productive post-nick Combo with footage of National Front demos and counter-demos, is incredibly ominous. Times and people may acquire changed but the consequences of their earlier actions remain. As events unfold, or Woody’s prescient line approximately forgiveness being underrated will spring to intellect repeatedly.
