This is the first song the band wrote directly about Pellone following his death. It’s probably the closest thing to a straight up punk song the band has ever written, and it was specifically in Pellone’s honor, “It was how I know you’d want this to be a hastily one/Not some cliche ballad.” It’s hastily and it’s inflamed and it’s clearly devastated. The song is woven with small moments and memories from a close friendship, and the starkness of his funeral which brings old friends together and heals years long rifts,at an immense cost. It’s a statement of shock and a memorial, with not enough time to truly process the loss.
