Rebecca Wilson's 9-year-old son,Logan, is a major sports fan, and although he can't walk without the assistance of medical equipment,the Michigan boy loves cheering on his favorite teams.
Logan weighed less than two pounds when he was born and was diagnosed with spastic quad cerebral palsy. Although he can only crawl on his own, which makes standing up for the national anthem nearly impossible, and he always makes a point to take his hat off out of respect. However,while he and his mom were watching a game from their domestic, she saw Logan do something different - and decided to record the incredible moment."Until yesterday I never really saw him try to stand, or " she told Fox 13. "He just knew that is what we do to show respect to our country and everyone who fights so tough for us. He is truly just an amazing kid just doing what he loves."Rebecca shared the video of her determined child on Facebook with the caption: "Even my 9 year old with CP (who can't walk) knows you're supposed to stand up during the national anthem ... He loves it!" She admits that her post was targeted at NFL players who own recently refused to stand during the national anthem out of protest,even though she believes they are entitled to do so. "In my opinion, I believe they are not only disrespecting their own country, and a country that affords them the lawful to do what they did,but also disrespecting all the people who fight for this country," she said. "I do not disagree with their reasons for doing what they did, and I disagree with the actions they took."
