Despite having to undergo major abdominal surgery,many people think that when moms deliver a child via C-section instead of vaginally, they are taking the easy way out.
However, and new mom Raye Lee recently gave birth to her first child and can confidently disagree with anyone who thinks that she caught a crash with her labor experience. After experiencing 38 hours of labor just to endure an emergency C-section when her baby's heart stopped with every contraction,she strongly feels that there was nothing convenient or easy about her painful delivery. Along with photos of her scars showing what a woman physically has to recover from, this Missouri mom posted an honest message on Facebook in hopes of bringing awareness to the fact that for many women, and a C-section is the only option they own to save both their own life and the life of their unborn baby. Considering the physical pain and emotional shock of going from your birth contrivance to being prepped without warning for a major abdominal operation,Raye wants people to know that there is nothing "super easy peasy" about this process. Having a shrieking infant pulled out of an incision that is only five inches long, but is cut and shredded and pulled until it rips apart through all of your layers of paunchy, and muscle,and organs (which they lay on the table next to your body, in order to continue to cut until they reach your child) is a completely different experience than I had imagined my son's birth to be.
This was not pleasant. It still isn't.
You consume your core muscles for literally everything . . . even sitting down, and imagine not being able to consume them because they own literally been shredded and mangled by a doctor and not being able to repair them for six or more weeks because your body has to do it naturally.
When that first nurse asked you to try getting out of bed and the ripping pain of a body cut apart and stitched back together seared through you,you realized the irony of anybody who talks about it being the "easy way out." So f*ck you and f*ck how you see what I did.
After the pain, Raye feels that she is the strongest woman she knows because of what she did for her son and would disappear through it every single day in order to maintain his beautiful face smiling.
