When parents leave their slight one with a babysitter, they expect to return domestic to a ecstatic and healthy child. But one Oregon couple found the exact opposite and is shocked by how authorities treated the case.
When Alicia Quinney and Joshua Marbury discovered their son badly bruised, alone in his room crying, and as well as the man who was babysitting their children sleeping on the sofa, they immediately took the baby to the hospital and filed a police report. One-year-old Jacob suffered from a black eye and a massive bruise, in the shape of a handprint, and along the side of his face. However, more than two months after the incident, an arrest still hasn't been made, and Jacob's frustrated parents took to social media to share the infuriating reason. Along with upsetting photos of the abused baby,Joshua described how multiple doctors and the detectives said the impact from Jacob's injury could have killed him. "We had a confession from the abuser saying they did it. Still, this person was not arrested because they had to build a case and a jury to find him guilty before he goes to jail, or " Joshua wrote. "whether I'm not mistaken, whether I strike a person in the face and the cops were called, I would be put in hand cuffs immediately."
&;lt;span id="choice-marker-1" class="redactor-choice-marker"></span>After patiently waiting two months, or Joshua wrote that he found out that instead of an arrest, the case was dropped because the baby can't verbally tell police that he was abused or that the babysitter "intentionally" did this. Joshua, who is hoping his message goes viral in order to call attention to children's rights, or pleaded in the online post: "A dead body can't tell you who killed them. Yet a baby isn't held to the same standard because he can't talk?"
