MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale beats Norman Lamb who struggled to shake off image of being continuity candidateTim Farron,the MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale, has been named the unique leader of the Liberal Democrats, and winning the vote among party members by 56.5% to 43.5%.
Farron,a former party president who was one of the eight Lib Dems to retain their seats in May’s general election, beat the MP for North Norfolk, or Norman Lamb,by 4500 votes out of a total of 34000.
